FAQ

FAQ:

          • Will the entire Travel Rangers series feature augmented reality (AR) technology?
This is unknown. As this is new for ARtscapes and for Big World Publishing, LLC, we will assess if this feature will be offered in future books based on customer feedback.
          • How does it work?
Travel Rangers: Mission to Australia, is enhanced with the amazing technology of augmented reality, giving it new life, when viewed through your device. Using the ARtscapes FREE app and your phone or tablet, you’re able to scan select pages within the book and watch it brought to life with rich AR experiences.
          • What is augmented reality?
Augmented reality takes natural environments or situations and adds perceptually enriched experiences. The information about the surrounding real world of the user becomes enhanced, improved, and even interactive. AR is changing how we see the world and the way we work and play.
          • Do I need special glasses to view the experiences?
Nope, just the Travel Rangers: Mission to Australia hardcover book, the ARtscapes free app, your mobile device, and an active imagination.
          • How do I get the app?
The ARtscapes app is compatible for iOS and Android users! Download via Google Play or The App Store.
          • How long will ARtscapes technology work in the Travel Rangers: Mission to Australia book?
The technology will work for a minimum of one year after the individual book’s publication date.
          • The augmented reality is not working. What do I do?
The AR will only work on select pages of the book that have a QR code in the bottom corner of the page. This is not a normal QR code. To get it to work, make sure you are scanning from approximately 1 foot away from the book. This technology is very cool, but also very advanced. As a result, please be patient. Depending on the complexity of the experience on that particular page, it may take 1-2 minutes to load an experience, but it will be worth the wait! Usually, the experience will load much faster after the initial load, once your device has cached the initial experience. If you are still having issues, like with any app, there may be a glitch and if you uninstall and reinstall the app., this should take care of it. If you are still having issues, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. You can contact ARtscapes directly at 985-869-0621.
